A design and innovation consultancy that develops successful, award-winning and world-first products. Based in London, Hong Kong and Shanghai, their talented and experienced managers, researchers, designers and engineers help companies in the Consumer, Medical / Pharma, Industrial-Commercial and Services sectors around the world.

Work closely with the Business Development Director and the rest of the Medical team, to develop new business opportunities globally by creating compelling and novel approaches to client innovation challenges.

Participate selectively in projects and planning to deliver outstanding design and business solutions that drive revenues and growth for our clients and build the company's reputation as thought leaders.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities


* Set direction for the business development medical sector activities against the Board' business strategy and the organisation's vision and drive in a continuous and sustainable manner

* Monitor both business development and project medical activities continuously

* Become the face of the sector externally/internally

* Have the tenacity, charisma and the personal qualities to lead sector activities

* Ability to work effectively with internal/external stakeholders at different levels

* Resolve any issues impacting the sector together with the broader company team

* Mentor and coach staff and increase competence for medical projects

Business Development

* Plan and execute business development activities in line with sector strategy

* Create business development plan in line with sector strategy (incl. budgetary planning)

* Manage medical business development activities of the company team (calling, client visits, campaigns, etc.)

* Develop strong relationships with decision makers in key accounts

* Supervise key account management activities of the company medical team

* Increase visibility of the company externally through PR/Marketing including public speaking, etc.

* Regularly report medical business development progress to Business Development Director

Project Involvement

* Participate selectively in kick-off and review meetings to support project teams and build client rapport

* Provide input to project teams regarding approach and deliverables in areas of competence

* Contribute to creative sessions and workshops

Service Development

* Attend service development meetings and provide input on service demand from medical clients

* Work with service leads to develop new services and improve the existing offer

* Coordinate with Marketing exposure strategy, including: operational issues, Social Media activities, etc.

Mentoring & Coaching

* Guide team members less experienced in medical projects when working for the sector

* Provide encouragement and build passion for delivering high quality medical work

* Work closely with the Business Development Director in developing awareness and importance of business development activities for the sector and continuously encourage staff participation

Networking & Trends

* Stay abreast of key trends in healthcare incl. technology, regulation, etc. to ensure the company's relevance

* Network with healthcare leaders globally, both for the company exposure and to grow our expert network
