Portfolio HR Consultants: Commercially minded energetic HR Consultants with entrepreneurial drive are required to work closely with CEOs and Managing Directors of SME sized businesses (20 - 300 staff) around the Manchester/Leeds and surrounding areas including, Liverpool, Bolton, M65 corridor, Chester, Warrington, Yorkshire, Huddersfield, Halifax, Wakefield, Sheffield and York providing strategic and practical HR support across all areas of HR in your local area.

This is a 'Portfolio Career' opportunity for an experienced HR Director or Head of HR seeking to work closely with a number of clients, working 12 - 20 days per month, usually onsite with client sites, with the choice of part-time or full-time hours without committing to a full-time employed role.

You will join the fastest growing HR Consultancy in the UK, and will need to deploy your business development skills to build and develop your network and a portfolio of clients, working relatively independently but with the full support of the Regional Director and team of HR experts.

Applicants should be enthusiastic with a positive friendly approach, and relish the challenge of working on a range of strategic and operational people issues in growing businesses. The ability to be assertive, compelling, and handle CEOs and Managing Directors within fast paced growing SME businesses, with tact and decisiveness is essential. Clients will be based in Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool, Bolton, M65 corridor, Chester, Warrington, Yorkshire, Leeds, Huddersfield, Halifax, Wakefield, Sheffield and York. Most of the work involves providing clients with an embedded HR professional one day a week or ad-hoc projects with support from the wider team.

You will need to generate leads and develop client accounts with our support, and become embedded in their business. This consultancy is often hired by referral, so it is essential that you can quickly create and maintain successful relationships with clients and partners.

Skills & Experience:
- Proven senior HR experience, either at Director or Head of level.
- Track record of excellence, achievement and entrepreneurial drive
- Desire to work with business owners, with a passion for making a difference
- Commercially focused, confident, with gravitas.
- Able to deal with a wide range of Employment Relations issues, including disciplinary and grievance, redundancy, recruitment, appraisal schemes, drafting contracts and handbooks.
- We also expect you will have a great sense of humour, be energetic, a team player.
- Degree educated and CIPD qualification.
