Our client is a consultancy specialising in arboriculture and ecology with a team of highly qualified professionals, providing expert advice to clients across the UK. This organisation is looking to appoint a Graduate Ecologist to be based in Chester.

About You

To be considered for the role of Graduate Ecologist, you will:

* Have an excellent academic background, with a relevant undergraduate degree
* Ideally have a post graduate qualification such as an MSc or PhD
* Have experience with Phase 1 Habitat Surveys and Habitat Management Plans
* Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Be eligible for Graduate membership of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM)
* Have professional experience, paid or voluntary, within the Ecological Consultancy sector
* Have a full, clean UK driving licence
* Be able to work well independently as well as within a team

About the Role

As Graduate Ecologist, your main duties will include:

* Carrying out a range of ecological surveys such as Phase 1 Surveys and Protected Species surveys
* Producing well written reports and documentation
* Carrying out Ecological Impact Assessments (EIAs)
* Analysing and interpreting data
* Liaising with other members of the team as well as with clients

Starting salary will be dependent upon experience
