Our client is an Environmental Consultancy who provide a wide and varied range of services to clients across the UK. This growing organisation is looking for a Consultant Ecologist to join their Ecology team in Derby.


Applying for the role of Consultant Ecologist, you will be expected to:

* Have an Ecology, Biology or related Environmental undergraduate degree
* At least 3 years' experience working within the field of ecology
* Have, or be eligible for, membership of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM)
* Have at least one Protected Species Licence, ideally a Class 1 Bat Licence
* Be highly motivated, enthusiastic and have excellent communication skills
* Have experience of presenting and interpreting survey results


As a Consultant Ecologist, your main duties will include:

* Providing specialist advice to clients on all aspects of their project
* Preparing and carrying out Protected Species Surveys and Phase 1 Habitat Surveys
* Involvement with Ecological Impact Assessments (EIA)
* Undertaking project work and fieldwork
* Producing high quality, well written ecological reports and documents
