An outstanding opportunity to join of the UK's leading companies and be a apart of their award winning customer service team. Based in Morley, Leeds my client seeks temporary staff for the run up to and beyond the Christmas period. You will already have embraced the Customer Service world and be able to demonstrate very high standards of care and attention on inbound calls from customers, managing a wide range of queries.

The role

- Taking a wide range of inbound calls from the general public
- Managing the initial call to ascertain the customer query by asking probing questions in a very positive manner
- Remaining calm and efficient throughout the call to manage the customer expectation
- Recording the details of the call into the CRM system
- Liaison with internal and external parties as required to gain the correct information for the customer if a call is to be returned to the customer
- Conflict management with verbally strong customers who may not take "no" for an answer
- Escalating calls to the Management team when required and all options to assist have been explored


- Excellent telephone manner and verbal communication
- Excellent data input skills
- The ability to liaise with the customer throughout the call in a professional manner
- The ability to gain information from the customer by asking appropriate probing questions
- Excellent written English
- Educated to GCSE Grade C in English and Maths or equivalent
- Flexibility to accommodate the shift patterns

Hours of work

- The role of customer service works a 37 ½ hour week 5 days out of 7
- The contact centre is open 363 days a year with the exception of Christmas Day and Easter Sunday
- The contact centre opens 08.00 hours to 20.00 hours 7 days a week
- The majority of shifts work one day at the weekend day but not both days, with a weekend day off and a day in the week off
