What you need:

  • Must be over 18 years of age
  • Essential to hold a current UK driving licence and have access to a Car for work purposes
  • Willing to work permanent alternate weekends
  • Excellent communication skills verbally and in writing using basic English
  • Good levels of flexibility and motivation
  • A commitment to working in the community making a positive difference to peoples lives

 

 Weekend Standby Care role will involve:

  • To work permanent alternate weekends
  • Standby from 6pm Friday evenings until 8.00am Monday mornings inclusive
  • Access at all times to the Mobile Handset provided, to respond quickly and efficiently to requests from the office to attend any visits during the day or night
  • Areas covered include Preston, Chorley, South Ribble, West Lancashire and surrounding areas (mileage paid)
  • Providing personal care and support to clients including washing, bathing and toileting
  • Healthcare, including assisting the service user to take medication as appropriate
  • Providing practical support and domestic tasks including laundry, cleaning, shopping and preparing and cooking meals
  • Standby rates; £60 call-out fee, £30 for overnight per night (Fri, Sat, Sun)

Day time 8.00am – 10.00pm £4.84 per hour standby, Crisis visit fee £5.43
