Harvey McQueen are delighted to be recruiting for a prestigious and well established client in the Bolton area. We are recruiting for experienced Quality Inspectors for an Engineering company working to extremely high standards within Milling and Turning and CNC machining and CMM Machines in the Bolton area. The role will be working as part of a team within the Engineering department. If you are currently a time served Engineer and have had training /exposure in the Quality sector side and are now looking to take your career forward within well established and fast paced engineering companies then please get in touch. The role maintain excellent quality standard Full understanding of technical drawings Must have experience working on CMM Machines. Individual Responsibilities 1) Maintain the standard of inspection, eg, quality of all details, sub-assemblies, etc. 2) Ensure issue of drawings & specifications conforms to the batch card. 3) Verify the only approved parts & materials have been used; check batch card against materials. 4) Certificates located in final view or purchasing department. 5) Workshop processes are carried out correctly in particular using CMM Machine. 6) All drawings and CMM reports requirements are satisfied. 7) Documentation at each inspection stage is endorsed as “acceptable”, “reject”, “needing rework” or “concession”, and to identify by labelling & a pink batch card when applicable. 8) Identify marks are legible & conform to the drawing requirements. 9) Report the loss of inspection stamp immediately to the Quality Manager. 10) Be a stamp holder by maintaining the standard acceptable to the Quality Manager. 11) Be subject to surveillance checks by the Quality Manager or his/her nominee. 12) Obtain first of Verification parts received from sub-contract machining & ensure parts do not proceed until verification is recorded. 13) Capable of performing the inspection of work assigned in accordance with the duties of “authorised inspector”. 14) Demonstrates working the inspection & technical competence in inspection of our products/ components. 15) To maintain fine Health & safety working practices in the most effective manner to ensure a safe workplace. shifts available days/nights If you are currently working as an engineer and are looking for a step into the Quality sector then please get in touch and send an up-to-date CV.
