Key responsibilities · To be the first point of contact for all employees and line managers, providing advice and guidance on a range of matters; attendance, performance management, pre-employment checks and staff matters in line with employment legislation, policies and processes. · Provide sound commercial advice and support on all Employee Relations matters (Disciplinaries, Grievance, Maternity/Paternity, flexible working requests, Attendance). · Build relationship with key stakeholders. · Support recruitment and selection activities e.g co-ordinate and attend interviews where necessary. · Pro-actively review existing HR polices and processes; support roll-out, deliver training/coaching as required. · Coach and support HR team members. · Prepare MI data, HR KPIs. · Liaise with Payroll, HR Assistant on payroll matters. · Conduct 2 nd line checks on employee files. · Support the annual salary and bonus review. · Support the performance evaluation cycle. · Support/lead HR projects. · Support line managers with the HR system · Sponsorship/study agreements · To manage team members, conduct regular 121s, monitor and evaluate performance Conduct Risk: · Demonstrate that the customer is at the heart of the business through behaviours and mind-set ISO Standard: Environmental Management (ISO14001) · Demonstrate awareness and understanding of ISO14001 Environmental Management to the standard required in your role. Undertake Annual Refresher training. Quality Management (ISO9001) · Demonstrate awareness of the importance of meeting customer as well as statutory and regulatory requirements as part of the Quality Management System (ISO9001). Undertake Annual Refresher training. Information Security Management (ISO27001) · Demonstrate awareness of your information security responsibilities. Undertake Annual Refresher training. Experience required · Extensive experience dealing with ER issues including disciplinaries, grievances, capability issues and appeals including complex issues (essential). · Strong Employment Law understanding (essential). · Demonstrable experience of working in a fast paced, challenging HR environment at HR Advisor/HRBP level. · Previous experience of working with senior stakeholders including directors and senior managers. · Previous experience of working in a contact centre environment (desirable). · Delivering development programmes up to management level (desirable). · People management experience Qualifications, Skills and knowledge required · Fully CIPD qualified (desirable), preferably Chartered Member of the CIPD. · Degree level calibre desirable (or equivalent). · Strong knowledge of employment legislation with the ability to apply it pragmatically. · Ability to work under pressure to meet conflicting priorities/deadlines. · Sound organisational and project management skills. · Change management skills, particularly around OD. · Ability to manage workload and work autonomously. · Must be able to influence, and negotiate with, senior managers to achieve a positive outcome. · Strong professionalism and credibility. · Sound analytic skills and pragmatic approach to problem solving. · Ability to understand and interpret KPI’s to influence managers. · Strong communication skills (written and verbal) to influence key stakeholders and manage expectations.
