An exciting opportunity has arisen for a MI Data Analyst / Developer to join the MI team in an HR solutions business that sees MI as one of its key differentiators. With a diverse customer base, from the internal operation to FTSE100 clients, this role will challenge the successful application as AdviserPlus extends the boundaries of its BI, dashboards and visualisations. The purpose of the role is to deliver quality MI to both internal and external customers via the currently-deployed reporting technologies and be instrumental in the transition to new BI solutions. Key responsibilities: To administer and maintain the SQL Server Data Warehouse platform and Business Objects. To write reports using SQL views & Business Objects (WebI). To construct reports and dashboards in Excel to support a variety of internal and external reporting requirements. To create and test the quality and accuracy of reporting outputs before they are released to internal and external audiences. To support the cleansing of data, including mapping old-to-new and creating scripts prior to performing cleanses. Skills: Essential: Highly PC-literate. Excellent SQL Server skills, including SSIS (BIDS), writing advanced SQL, CTEs, stored procedures & functions. Extensive experience of SAP Business Objects XI r3.1, including the administration of the environment, Universe design and Web Intelligence report development. In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including complex formulae, pivot tables / charts / slicers used within dashboard templates and its function as a web service in SharePoint. Quick learner of new skills, data and systems. Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to communicate with a non-technical audience. Desirable: Experience of SharePoint administration (including customisation of document libraries using SharePoint designer , web part creation and maintaining group memberships Developing BI visualisations, dashboards and reports Strong information and data management skills, with the ability to gather, analyse, interpret, structure and present information effectively, in order to meet the needs of the audience Experience of implementing and embedding new data process and new MI technology solutions Understanding of developing an ETL environment and of data warehousing best practice (using the Kimball methodology) Output of MI in an HR environment What AdviserPlus have to offer: We offer a competitive salary bonus along with free car parking, flexible working arrangements, child care vouchers, retail discounts, life assurance, healthcare scheme and pension.
