Job Title: Employment Solicitor Location: Manchester Job Reference: AR /J17533 Salary: Negotiable Job description: Top UK Law Firm, with office throughout the UK, would like to recruit an Employment Solicitor to join their growing team in Birmingham. The Employment team provides a service based on extensive experience in the full range of employment work, including litigation, advisory, transactional and training. They act for a diverse range of private and public sector clients, ranging from large national companies and small and medium enterprises. The role To manage a mixed caseload of employment work and provide HR\employment law advice to clients. Main duties responsibilities: Manage a mix of employment work primarily for employers (although it will also include a small amount of employee advice work) including: advising and assisting by phone and e-mail on day to day employment and discrimination issues; defending Employment Tribunal claims; and drafting documents, letters and settlement agreements Provide HR\employment law advice to a wide range of clients in both the public and private sectors including as part of our HR Rely advice service Assist other members of the team with their work and caseloads as appropriate Draft and prepare letters, e-mails, documents, service agreements and employment contracts, policies, tribunal responses, bundles, witness statements and reports Conduct advocacy at the Employment Tribunal Provide employment-related assistance with corporate/transactional and commercial matters, including in relation to TUPE Advise on employment-related matters (depending upon knowledge and experience) which could include: data protection; pensions; and/or immigration for organisations Carry out legal research Draft articles and legal updates Assist with business development initiatives including training, presentations and networking Produce monthly Client MI reports Work in accordance with client and internal SLAs Work in accordance with company values and procedures Achieve set financial and chargeable targets Comply with Data Protection compliance and procedures This list is not intended to be exhaustive and you will have other duties and responsibilities that fall within the remit of the role.
