To deliver a professional and efficient service in relation to the testing, repair, inspection and maintenance of lifting equipment and accessories for the designated site. Package description Competitive with performance based bonus Main responsibilities Test, repair, inspection and maintenance of a wide range of lifting equipment and accessories in accordance with the relevant regulation, Company procedures and manufacturers guidelines Colour coding and tagging of assets Ensure that all work completed is recorded on the Maximo system To provide detailed defect reporting and to liaise with clients to resolve defects, advise on the possible causes and solutions to prevent reoccurrence Conduct compliance checks on 3rd party sub-contractors lifting equipment on the companies’ behalf, recording all non-compliance issues Testing of nominated equipment Understanding the priority level of works (RIMEs) so that effective scheduling is possible To ensure safe systems of work are established and followed for all tasks and to ensure that high standards of Health and Safety in the workplace are maintained Undertake any training that is deemed necessary in accordance with a personal development plan and as required to fulfil contractual obligations To support the contracted onsite customer with H&S advice where appropriate and knowledgeable Key Measures of Performance: Effectiveness of defect reporting and resolution of defects Safe working statistics including accident/near miss statistics Successful completion of training in line with personal development plan Sales opportunities converted/highlighted to the sales team Ideal candidate Experience in the lifting equipment industry LEEA and industry related qualifications advantageous. Good knowledge of lifting equipment fault finding and repair procedures Maximo experience would be advantageous Organisational and planning skills to ensure that work is completed in an efficient and timely manner Ability to converse with customers and colleagues in a polite and respectful manner Flexible approach to working requirements including working in other locations and working patterns Professional appearance reflecting Speedy values Full driving licence Computer literate This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/66714392
