Datacenter Facilities Analyst - Dunton, Essex - £35.98 ph Ltd Co - Contract Reference: F46510 Position Description Our prestigious client based in Dunton, Essex is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Datacenter Facilities Analyst to work within our Clients ever expanding IT department on a full time basis. The ITO Facility & Operations Analyst position is part of the European Site Management (SM) team based in the UK. The Facility & Operations Analyst has responsibility for day to day operational coordination and delivery of planning, deployment, de-installation, maintenance and operations of UK IT facilities. This role will suit someone looking for an opportunity to be Hands On with Facilities and IT infrastructure, while supporting IT customers and management, end users and other business support organisations and suppliers (e.g. Client Land, PD & Vehicle Ops maintenance teams, Plant Protection, Fire Engineering, Purchasing, Finance etc.). The role provides an opportunity to truly work as a member of a cross-functional one client team. There is scope to co-ordinate delivery teams and develop project management skills. The successful Datacenter Facilities Analyst will be working a 37.5-hour week with access to onsite parking. Key Responsibilities: Design site layouts, and specific equipment locations based on environmental and security requirements, access control and ergonomic considerations Perform overall planning, deployment and mechanical, electrical and environmental services within IT Facilities Project manage implementation and decommissioning of IT infrastructure Rack/stack new servers, including cabling & configuration for remote support Perform asset / inventory management for all environmental support equipment located within the IT Facilities Co-ordinate planned preventative maintenance works including shutdown maintenance as required Perform IT facility and/or plant environmental periodic equipment evaluations, and plan for upgrading/replacing, ordering and implementation as necessary Monitor and enforce IT Facility security controls Manage contracts as they relate to environmental support equipment Coordinates fire and safety checks, access control audits, environmental audits Manages the physical access controls request/updates (e.g. badge readers) Plan, reviews and verify proposed facilities and In Room infrastructure changes (hardware, software and/or network changes etc.) Manage the execution of infrastructure changes according to rigorous release management procedures Perform troubleshooting of incidents, analysis, problem identification and service restoration for hardware, software and network components Ensure incident resolution and coordinates with others and escalates as necessary (i.e., technology SME, application SME, and operations hierarchy) Provide Hands and Eyes support for remote client teams Participate in or leads in problem and root cause analysis Ensure Operational and Support documentation is complete, up-to date and accurate Perform maintenance of appropriate emergency response and disaster recovery plans for IT facilities Manage and track budget information Manage IT Facilities Control and Corrective Action Report (CCAR), track and reports progress through to resolution Ensure adherence to client policies and national regulations/standards Complete annual SCRP's Support audits and ensure GAO compliance Provide technical mentoring to other members of the team Skills Required: Work Flexibility ITSM/ ITIL Strong interpersonal/communication Facility Infrastructure Able to communicate (both written and verbal), build and maintain good relationships to a multitude of business areas at all operational and management levels, various teams and IT vendors Skills Preferred: Server technology, Project Management, Security and Controls Good project management skills Experience Required : IT Infrastructure Experience Evidence of ability to work in a highly demanding environment; able to concurrently manage multiple projects / deliverables while also attending to day-to-day operational tasks Evidence of a process, quality and customer orientated mind set, demonstrating the desire to build in functional and technical excellence Evidence of incident and problem resolution Evidence of strong interpersonal and communication skills Experience Preferred: Environment, security, access control in a D/C Previous experience working in a high pressure environment Previous experience in the area of IT day to day operations, customer service, or environmental infrastructure implementations within an IT Facility Use or deployment of IT Infrastructure Technical knowledge in the areas of IT Facilities Mechanical and electrical system knowledge/experience Education Required: 2:2 degree Do not miss out on your chance of interview – APPLY NOW Our Clients are unable to provide sponsorship for Tier 2 General Visas; therefore, only candidates eligible to work in the UK need apply Caresoft Global Limited operates as an Employment Business and Employment Agency.
