Position: Project Manager Location: Manchester or Leeds ABOUT THE ROLE The Project Manager will be responsible for the scoping of projects and ensuring the delivery of a cross functional programme of work within the portfolio in accordance with Prince 2 methodology. The position requires highly skilled individuals who have an ability to provide effective stakeholder management both internally and externally. The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring that all the contractual commitments are delivered against and that the overall service expectation to the customer is exceeded where possible to time, cost and quality. A customer centric culture is paramount within the Project Management team. The Project Manager will be expected to support the Service Transition Manager in the following areas: Service Level Management Capacity Management Contingency Planning 3rd party management Cost management SCOPE INDICATORS Project Managers are responsible for the end to end project lifecycle and management of communications, documentation, project metrics, quality, risk and governance. They will perform against agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Operational Level Agreements (OLAs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs). KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS Delivery Management of projects in the deployment of standard, complex, bespoke and strategically important solutions comprised of the product portfolio for both new and existing customers in accordance with Prince 2 methodology Commercial Planning Ensures the commercial commitments are delivered against customer contracts Stakeholder Management Requires highly skilled individuals who have an ability to provide effective Stakeholder management both internally and externally Resource Management Ensure appropriate resource management within your projects to enable the successful delivery of service Communication Management Ensure communication strategies are followed both internally and externally KEY COMPETENCIES Technical Competency Previous experience of managing multiple, complex projects in accordance with Prince 2 methodology and the ITIL framework in a fast paced Service Provider environment is essential. Working knowledge of Prince 2 at Practitioner level and ITIL at Foundation level essential. An understanding of IT and Telecommunications is advantageous Knowledge of Microsoft Projects, Word, Excel and PowerPoint are essential Business Partnering Able to develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders within the business at all levels. Planning & Organisation Plans ahead and establishes appropriate courses of action to achieve objectives. Monitors performance against targets and determines appropriate actions to ensure the necessary corrective action is taken. Is well organised and able to multi task effectively. Ensures deadlines are met and requests for information/support are provided within the agreed timescales.
