Technical Sales Engineer - Telematics, Wireless Comms Job Type: Permanent Location: Two home based roles covering The Midlands and South East England (candidates living within the M1 Corridor (South East) or M4 Corridor are ideal. Salary: £30,000 to £35,000 Car Allowance OTE Start Date: ASAP Due to continued growth, an established electronics firm at the cutting edge of technological advancement is looking for two enthusiastic external Technical Sales Engineer - Telematics, Wireless Comms to work with the team and develop the business further. You will be tasked with providing pre and post sales technical advice and support for products. You will be the key point of contact for clients, answering queries, providing technical advice and introducing new products. Technical Sales Engineer - Typical responsibilities of the job include: To actively identify and establish new business. Organising sales visits. Liaise with existing clients and maintain relationships. Prepare tenders, proposals and quotations. Providing pre-sales and after-sales support. Negotiating contracts, terms and conditions. Reviewing cost and sales performance. Writing reports and sales literature. Providing product education and advice. Attending trade exhibitions, conferences and meetings where required. Ensuring that sales targets are met. Ideal candidates will be established Technical Sales Engineers with a component level understanding of some of the following: Wireless Communications, Global Positioning Systems, Semiconductors, Telematics, WAN / LAN Networking, PC and Server Hardware, Video Processing, Antennas, Internet of Things, Datacoms, CCTV. Although not an essential requirement, graduate calibre candidates with qualifications in computer science/engineering, physics, mathematics, applied science and software engineering will be considered favourably.
