A Midlands based local authority is looking to secure some additional support as soon as possible on an interim basis until December/January. The client is looking for a FINANCE LEAD FOR AGRESSO UPDATE/RECTIFICATION PROJECT The role will involve the following: To lead the Finance work stream of the project to update Agresso to version 4.7 and implement system build adjustments needed to rectify operational inefficiencies a. Liaise with the Project Manager to co-ordinate and target resources as required b. Achieve the testing of Finance functionality on V4.7 of Unit4 ABW ('Agresso') by the end of October 2016. c. Achieve the successful implementation of system developments identified in the Rectification project by the end of January 2017. d. Take an overarching view of the accounting implications of system changes that take place during the rectification project. e. Ensure that all the interfaces (both internal to Agresso and external) are creating complete and correct accounting entries in the General Ledger and accounts payable/receivable ledgers. f. Ensure that the information passed to the General Ledger includes details that allow appropriate reporting, or that appropriate reporting is available from the sub-ledgers. g. Ensure that the structure of coding and trees on Agresso supports the reporting needs of the Authority (both Statutory and Management reporting). The candidate must have experience in Local Government Finance , strong interpersonal skills and knowledge of ERP systems as he/she will act as a Finance representative and work closely/ liaise with the Project Team, which is engages by the provider.
