We are currently working with a leading defence organisation who are looking to recruit a Procurement Advisor for a 6 month interim role based in their offices in Portsmouth. The Procurement Professional develops and applies procurement processes within projects or business functions to source goods and services, either for routine purchases or for lower value/risk non-standard items or services. Accountabilities include: -Supplier engagement / negotiations (from obtaining quotes to acceptance of standard T&C, contract review, expediting and query resolution) -Engagement activities with individual projects and / or programmes -Generating purchase orders (including any changes) and updates to associated master data -Performance delivery against key metrics / performance indicators The ideal candidate will have experience within a busy procurement team with an understanding of LCM process, business management systems and assurance processes. Knowledge of strategic sourcing processes and principles of Supply Chain would be beneficial for this position along with strong stakeholder management skills.
