Adult Support Worker, Homelessness, Reading. Are you looking for a new role working with homelessness? Caring adult support workers are required for A 35 bed hostel in Reading working with adults between ages of 16 - 65. Hours are flexible and involve working weekends, nights & days. Duties and responsibilities include: To provide emotional support to young adults To patrol the unit and secure the building Challenge inappropriate behaviour where necessary To read and write in log-book records and take part in staff and service users' meetings and in training activities as directed. Requirements for this position include: 6 Months experience in care. Manual handling certificate. First aid certificate. Enhanced DBS. Satisfactory references. If you don't have 6 months experience in care but are hard working, emphatic & willing to learn then please still apply as Randstad are happy to train the right person and we can also assist with getting your DBS in place.
