Business Development Manager – US Law Firm - £60,000 - £67,000 Our client a reputable US Law Firm based in the City are recruiting for a BDM to join a small team to provide a first class service across the following practice areas: Corporate, M&A, Private Equity, Finance, Capital Markets, Investment Funds, Litigation and Regulatory. This is a newly created role and would suit an experienced candidate who is looking for a new challenge and to make this position their own. Duties for this role will include: · Act as first point of contact for all practice group heads and key partners · Attending regular meetings and planning sessions · Evaluate the probability of the development of business prospects and cross marketing efforts · Working with practice groups to develop practice materials, website pages and other marketing collateral · Conduct industry and client research to support business development initiatives. · Facilitates the planning, implementation and follow-up of new business or cross-marketing opportunities. · Project manage for UK/Europe focused RFP’s and pitches · Write new business proposals and produces targeted, tailored responses · Supporting follow up and debrief activities post pitch and reports back to the firm · Working with the regional Marketing team to hold sponsored and other hosted events · Co-ordinate with the Communications team on PR opportunities · Manage the professional development of staff goal setting and any training required · Liaising with HR re: all new hires and the development of junior members of staff Skills/Experience Required: · Solid BD experience at senior level ideally from a Law Firm or Professional Services background · MBA, Law degree and/or professional marketing qualification will be a plus · Experience with client relationship management and research databases such as InterAction, CapitallQ and Debtwire · Proven experience of driving new projects forward · Strong communication and organizational skills · Excellent writing and proof reading skills · Self- motivated and a team player · Strong problem and analytical solving skills · Flexible with travelling to other offices when required This job was originally posted as
