Import Merchandiser Salary £20,000 Reporting to Supply Chain Manager Working for this growing and fast paced importers of goods to the retail industry. You will work as part of the supply chain time to very tight deadlines. The overall purpose of the role is to manage Stock Targets, Product availability, manage Far East and Indian suppliers to deliver a smooth flow of products into the business, raising purchase orders with factories, responsible for managing tracker meetings. A varied and busy role, you, as Supply Chain Merchandiser you will be responsible for merchandising orders for key accounts and over 100 customers. Duties to include: Organising weekly tracker Meetings and sending out tracker meeting notes Planning new line buys with the sales team - completing the OCS ( order confirmation sheet) Completing new line forms Keeping the master tracker up to date Keeping your sales and purchase order book up to date Chasing suppliers for weekly updates on purchase orders Reporting any stock issues to customer Manage day to day trading keep watch on sales and margins Working closely with imports and the supply chain team on container intake Working closely with sales staff to establish product sales forecasts and plan buys as required, also working with the sales team on slow moving lines to ensure that they are sold through the business. To apply you must have: Previous experience as a Merchandiser, preferably in a Wholesale/Importers/Retail environment Should be able to work under pressure and have the ability to use their own initiative . Has good communication and problem solving skills Is a team player who is able to build relationships with Suppliers and Customers. Has good computer skills Pays meticulous attention to detail Worked with critical path and understand critical path Strong knowledge of MS Excel and ideally MS Navision This job was originally posted as
