Production/ Calibration Assistant Location: Fowlmere, Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom Salary: Competitive, DOE Job Type: Permanent, Full time Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm SHORT DESCRIPTION A position has become available due to internal promotion within a fast growing well established gas detection company. The role, Production/ Calibration Assistant will involve performing assigned work swiftly, safely and to a high standard and ensuring the Company image and quality of product is maintained. THE ROLE Order Processing:- Retrieving instruments and necessary parts from stock area (Kanban) Programming/ upgrading of instruments (ensuring current version of firmware is used) Completing the final assembly of instruments Calibrating and issuing certificates Sub-Assemblies Copying of CDs and USB sticks Produce and print labels Creating and completing production orders on SAP Completing Electronic Route cards Passing finished orders to goods in for shipping Liaising with the test engineer if any faults on the instrument are identified. General Duties: Identifying minor faults and fixing where possible Assisting with general sub-assemblies and all other areas of production when demand for orders is not as high Assisting other departments in Ion Science as needed THE PERSON This is a hands-on role and the person appointed will:- Ideally have experience working with gases and light machinery however, experience is not necessary as full training will be provided.
