Position: National Account Manager Location: Nationwide / home-based Salary: £Competitive Benefits: A competitive benefits package including investment in training and development, along with rewards that reflect individual performance About the role: The National Account Manager will be responsible for developing the UK business through driving sales growth, developing relationships with key customers and identifying gaps and providing product solutions to improve the EBIT with their food manufacturing customers and personal care companies. They are looking for a dynamic individual who has a high degree of technical capability and who is highly effective at developing and presenting a solutions-driven approach to customers, working in a consultative style. Very important to success is a high level of skill and commitment to balancing effective current account management and contact levels, with efforts to expand upon the customer base. Main responsibilities will include: - Develop a UK industrial customer strategy which will support and influence short and long term business plans - Deliver the strategy through the sale of products using market data, life cycle, margin, NPD and packaging - Work with the Marketing/ NPD teams to achieve the agreed plan. Encouraging new initiatives were applicable - Build and develop a relationship with key existing and new customers - Manage the sales budgets ensuring best value for money and adhering to the parameter of the budget - Ensure all available data is used to achieve a more intellectual approach to strategy development - Support the Industrial Commercial Director to deliver the strategy via key projects About you: The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, with the ability to manage a varied workload of projects and presentations. Time management skills are a must; and the candidate will need to be able to be proactive in all aspects of their work as well as being self-motivated. A genuine, personable approach to sales, relevant B2B sales experience within national account handling and a demonstrable track record of successful account management are critical to success in this role. The ideal candidate will have a food ingredients background, experience in food sales and/or experience in cosmetic ingredients sales into the personal care industry.
