The Global Technology Support Trainer provides a variety of software training and application support services to employees across various offices in Europe & the Middle East. He or she identifies training needs of Latham employees via training requests, new technology, analysis and help desk reports. The Trainer is also responsible for working with his or her team to develop and implement effective training programs by using a variety of different tools, media and software. He or she also provides support to the European & Middle East offices regarding the resolution of desktop, notebook, and remote computing issues. Roles and responsibilities also include: •Provides assistance and training to end users for firm-approved applications in a variety of different methods (e.g. classroom, one on one, video, online eLearning systems and remote training). Software includes: Microsoft Office, Outlook, iManage, Cisco phone software, and other programs as deemed necessary. •Works with team members in technology or other departments to identify training needs, and create methods for proper instruction. Analyzes training needs and develops programs to meet those needs. Also develops training programs based on analysis of service desk reports. •Prepares training documentation, handouts, outlines, instructions, and other materials as needed. •Participates in firm-wide training conference calls and/or smaller working groups to prepare for upgrades, writing materials, and learning processes. •Creates classes designed to promote the most effective use of technology. Training may be given via telephone, hands-on classes, demonstrations, online learning systems, video conferences or one-on-one training. A High School Diploma or equivalent required. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field is preferred. German or French language training or equivalent is preferred. Proficiency in written and spoken German or French is highly desirable. Previous software training experience is desired. Previous PC helpdesk/applications support desired. The successful candidate should have the following knowledge, skills and abilities: •Ability to quickly learn and master new technologies and concepts. •Must have knowledge and proficiency in a wide variety of software programs, including Windows 7/10 and Microsoft Office (latest versions) Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook. Also including iManage Desksite and DTE Axiom, timekeeping software. •Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat (e.g. extracting/inserting pages, text recognition/OCR). •Develops knowledge of Cisco Phone software. •Knowledge and proficiency of various remote communication methodologies required, including RDS and VPN technologies. •Working knowledge of internetworking, TCP/IP, client/server relationships, network printing and Active Directory is highly beneficial. •Develops knowledge of Latham & Watkins templates and macros, the intranet, DTE and IM software.
