We are now looking for a Production Quality Manager to join the expanding quality team t o manage the quality assurance operations within the production, packaging and warehouse environments, ensuring that all internal quality systems are adhered to. Liaising closely with the senior production manager and their team to facilitate the efficient production of high quality products, minimising production delays and capturing all quality related issues. The Person The Production Quality Manager is an important, hands on role that requires a high level of staff management and interaction with operations departments, senior managers and Directors. The company sets very high standards for quality, turnaround of sales orders and customer satisfaction, with efficient production being a fundamental target for the business. It is vital that the person selected possesses strong people management skills, the appropriate QA qualifications, a track record for improving performance in a manufacturing environment, can work closely with production departments and is used to working to challenging targets. Strong communication skills are also key, along with a pragmatic and commercial outlook. Main Responsibilities · Manage all QA team leaders and operatives across a multi shift system that incorporates production, blending, packaging and warehouse operations · Mentoring, training and development of the team as required · Ensure that all QA tasks are carried out completely, efficiently and to target · Working closely with the production manager and team to facilitate efficient manufacture of finished product to specification · Manage all issues and non-compliances that occur within the above departments · Supervise any internal or external audits · Ensure that all internal and supplier non-conformance reports are completed correctly and implemented effectively · Work towards achieving set KPI’s and continually seeking ways to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the department · Liaise closely with the General Manager on all QA matters, providing advice, solutions and support where required · Work with the Technical Quality Manager, as required, to assist them fulfil their duties regarding accreditations, compliance and company standards Own transport is essential due to location.
