We supply high quality software and security products to a varied customer base – end, users, installers, distributors and OEM’s. We are currently seeking an experienced Technical Sales Engineer to grow our business, specifically our Enterprise software solution and applicable hardware. Working together with our team, you will assess the technical issues and feasibility of a solution for the customer and support them in purchasing and implementing the solution for their needs and environment. We have a committed plan for continuous product improvement and you will be involved with this on a daily basis. Responsibilities Provide pre-sales assistance for sales opportunities to customers and partners in the UK Undertake product demonstrations at customer locations, marketing events and trade shows Support the customer in defining their requirements. Specify detailed parts list to internal sales for customer quotation and sales proposals. To provide and maintain a key point of contact for customers to both their pre- and after-sales requirements to include technical support/advice and after sales support. Act as an interface between internal sales and technical support staff to resolve any outstanding issues. Contribute to training of security installers, end-users and channel partners. Participate in providing relevant technical information for product documentation and marketing material Maintain an awareness of competitive offerings and strategies Provide feedback from the field to product management and manufacturing, to ensure our continuous product improvement plan is maintained. Requirements Experience as a Sales Engineer, including time spent working with access control security equipment or adjacent product categories Electrical / electronic qualifications A proven track record within a sales environment Have a good understanding of the sales process – together with appropriate sales training beneficial Advanced understanding of Microsoft operating systems and networking architecture. The ability to troubleshoot and think logically, willing to take ownership of technical issues, prioritise actions and execute in a methodical and disciplined manner. Excellent verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels from product installers through to client directors Initiative taker, active and committed; capable of working independently. Travel within the UK; further international travel is required when necessary Clean driving licence Due to the nature of the industry, full screening including criminal record checks will be undertaken Fluent English language skills are essential The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary and the opportunity to develop a prosperous career within the security industry.
