Our client is now seeking dedicated double glazing surveyors and window installers to join their team. As a Window, Door and Conservatory Surveyor, you will be responsible for accurately surveying and recording the requirements of customers’ orders and resolving any ensuing customer problems. Occasionally you will also manage the installation process – from delivery through to the quality fitment. Taking accurate measurements and promptly processing the surveys, including site surveys, you will investigate differences between contracts and customer expectations. You will assess the duration of an installation, review the suitability of the products, agreeing the design options and necessary site arrangements prior to the installation. Acting as the point of contact for customers, you will visit the installation site to confirm that customers are satisfied and monitor the quality of the installation. Your other duties will include: - Supporting Managers in the day-to-day management of the department - Resolving problems effectively by gaining co-operation and commitment from available resources - Producing instructions to production control and to installers To be considered for the role you must have: - Windows, doors and conservatory surveying and installing experience - NVQ Level 3 in Surveying - Strong knowledge of the double glazing industry, particularly the installation process - Familiarity with current British Standards and Regulations - A valid UK driver’s licence Our client is looking for an individual to have excellent communication skills and a polite and courteous approach. An effective problem solver, you will also have a good level of computer literacy. Experience of installing conservatories would be beneficial to your application. Salary is negotiable depending on experience. Alternatively, our client is looking for a highly experienced window fitter who can install double glazing products and can also carry out site assessments when required. To be considered for the role you must have: - Windows, doors and conservatory fitting experience with materials including aluminium, timber and UPVC - You must have an experience in fitting: bi-folds, sliding patio, conservatories, roof lights, casement and sash windows - NVQ Level 2 in Double Glazing Installation - Strong knowledge of the double glazing industry - A thorough understanding of construction processes - A valid UK driver’s licence - Good communication skills and a polite and friendly approach Perfect applicant would have a van, an assistant and own tools.
