Graphics Software / C / Linux / Android / Client Facing Continued success has led to the need for 2x Customer Support Engineers to join the team responsible for supporting a wide range of graphics focused technology for key clients. This role would be the perfect position for a software developer (C language on Android or Linux) looking to add a customer facing element to his role. As a Customer Support Engineer you would be joining a globally recognised company whose graphics technology is widely regarded as the benchmark, and is used in most of the popular consumer electronic devices worldwide. You would work with their key clients around the world (so infrequent travel may be needed as projects progress). They would provide excellent training tailored to the individual, via in-house graphics technology experts and external support in project management skills etc. Day to day, Customer Support Engineers would take ownership of graphics software products for clients, debugging and designing techniques to allow them to get the best out of the products. Working closely with a tight-knit team with a global footprint, you would develop and debug in cross platform environments (Linux or Android) and you would use C and some scripting (Python, Bash etc.) to solve the problems you come across. This role has a full-stack outlook, but your work will require you to work heavily on the embedded side of the technology so device driver knowledge would be advantageous. Customer Support Engineer Requirements: - Communication skills (ability to make hard subjects sound easy to customers) - Development experience of C - Understanding of software debug and design techniques - Android or Linux OS experience - Knowledge of embedded systems - Willingness to learn - Experienced candidates should ideally have some experience of graphics technology.
