Salary: Competitive Location: Oldham Contract: 12 month maternity cover Hours: 37 hours per week Supply Chain Planning Analyst The Role To develop daily production schedule, communicate issues that may impact supply of product to customer or S&OP plan and coordinate activities with appropriate areas of business to minimize risk of supply to customers. To provide analysis and recommendations for Inventory Management. The analysis will include owned inventory at suppliers. In addition, it will include Safety Stock recommendations on Raw Materials. Your main responsibilities will include… To define daily production schedule based on customer orders, availability of materials, manufacturing capacity and creation date of the Stock Transport Orders (STO). To communicate to areas of the business when production schedule impacts Customer Orders or S&OP plans. Customer Service – Customer Impact Supply Chain Planning Manager – Impact to S&OP Plan or current Line Rates do not support customer needs Materials Management – Availability of material is impacting customer orders or S&OP plans Manufacturing – Manufacturing capacity is impacting customer orders or S&OP plans Supply Chain Analyst (Order Fill) – When customer orders are at risk of shipping on time Responsible for coordinating discussions between areas of the business to solve issues impacting production schedule. Ensures accuracy in ERP system of production schedule dates, Stock Transport Order (STO) dates and other data impacting Product Availability to allow the following. Accurate Available to Promise (ATP) dates Accurate Product Availability information to various areas of business Determination of Material Availability issues by Materials Management Team Recommends shipping method to Distribution Sites and incoming Raw Materials to support customer requirements and S&OP plans. Analyzes root cause and provides corrective action for Order Fill misses. The analysis will consist of Demand Analysis, Forecast review, Safety Stock review, Production Output and various analysis needed to minimize the risk Updates product availability dates in system so that this information is available to customer through SAP; in case of restriction, it may add comments in the system and date according to restrictions. As business needs arises, projects will be assigned. The projects may require participation as a team member or team lead. Analyze owned inventory at suppliers. The analysis will consist of in depth analysis of previous forecasts to validate the transfer of ownership is valid. The analysis will, also, involve recommendations to offer slow moving inventory to other Develop process to recommend and review raw material inventory buffer strategy for the Electronics commodity. Review slow moving inventory at the distribution sites and make recommendations to the Customer Service Managers to convert inventory into inventory that will sell quicker. Act as an advisor and coach to the Production Planners. Supply Chain Planning Analyst The Candidate You will be an experienced Supply Chain Planner or Planning Analyst and you must have experience of using SAP. You will also have the following skills, experiences and attributes… University degree, 2-5 years experience at planning or similar area. Expert at User Level of SAP Strong understand of Lean Manufacturing (pull system, kanban, production leveling, smoothing) Knowledge on Supply Chain Management Basics of Project Management Understanding of statistics and how to apply to analysis Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM – APICS) would be beneficial but is not essential Knowledge on ISO 9001:2000 Regulation.
