Calibration Engineer - Whitley, Coventry - £25.00 - £28.00 ph Ltd Co - Contract Reference: J31133 Position Description Our prestigious Automotive client based in Whitley, Coventry is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Calibration Engineer to work within our Clients ever expanding Powertrain department on a full time basis. The successful candidate will support the development of engine calibration projects for gasoline engines, and in particular the minimisation of fuel consumption. This will involve planning and managing the delivery of work packages required on test-beds, in vehicles, and through desktop data analysis and simulation. . The work requires close co-operation with many other product development areas, including the Controls/Diagnostics section of the department, and liaising with the engine management supplier. This is a brilliant opportunity for the chosen candidate to work in a very modern and luxurious working environment. The successful Calibration Engineer will be working a 40-hour week with access to onsite parking. Key Responsibilities: Combustion optimisation Legislative testing Competitor benchmarking Specific vehicle feature calibration Key Skills Required for Submission: Engine calibration - particularly in highly boosted, high performance engines Expertise with calibration and data analysis tools (e.g INCA, Matlab, Concerto etc). Good analytical skills & good working knowledge of MS Office software Able to demonstrate technical delivery experience, specifically optimisation of fuel efficiency, in a powertrain development environment with state of the art engine hardware Skills Required: Self-motivated and adaptable to changing demands Experience Required : Experience of calibration development at both a test bed and vehicle level Experience of applying powertrain control systems Demonstrable experience of delivering powertrain calibrations including legislative testing Experienced user of powertrain calibration tool set such as ETAS INCA, Matlab, AVL Creta Advanced driver training Education Required: Ideally degree qualified in science or engineering Additional Information: Based at our Whitley and Gaydon Engineering Centres using state of the art test facilities to develop state of the art powertrains The role will also require supporting calibration testing at other facilities in the UK The role may require international travel for vehicle sign-off, including travel to the USA Do not miss out on your chance of interview – APPLY NOW Our Clients are unable to provide sponsorship for Tier 2 General Visas; therefore, only candidates eligible to work in the UK need apply Caresoft Global Limited operates as an Employment Business and Employment Agency.
