Have you just finished your training as a toolmaker or engineering fitter? Are you looking to join a rapidly expanding Hi-Tech organisation working in prototype manufacturing developing ground-breaking new technology? In the role as Tooling Engineering Technician you will report to one of our senior technicians within the Development department helping with the manufacture, assembly and testing of key components within this area whilst helping to ensure products are capable of volume manufacture. Key Responsibilities: o Support our senior technician in the manufacture of components pressed and machined. o Maintain data logs and run test equipment within the bearing build and test cell. o Operate a range of manual machines including lathes, milling machines. Surface grinders and hydraulic press equipment. o Knowledge of bench engineering principles filing, drilling, sawing etc. o An interest in computers and CNC controlled machines would be an additional nice to have. Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience required: o Likely to have ONC or equivalent in an engineering discipline. o Completed and engineering apprenticeship within either an engineering organisation or college. o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills o Able to follow working to instructions and have a "can do"/positive approach. o Capable of working in a reactive team environment and flexible o Able to work within a team well o Willing to learn new skills from the experienced people within the company o A good understanding of engineering equipment and production process would be useful.
