Sales Manager - Food Science - Nutrition - Consumer - Sensory - Marketing - Permanent - Surrey - £ Competitive Bonus Excellent Company Benefits An excellent opportunity is available for a Sales Manager to join a leading food and beverage consultancy at their Surrey based headquarters. As Sales Manager for the Consumer, Sensory and Market Insight Business you will act as a critical part of the company sales team, taking responsibility for ensuring the successful delivery of the company sales plan. You will take responsibility for CSM sales and business development activity and will act as 'the first face of CSM', engaging regularly with prospects, identifying opportunities and developing new business with the intention of forging long-term and mutually beneficial relationships. Your role is focused on sales generation. Identifying new targets and opening doors for technical employees who will be able to support you in developing proposals that are both technically and commercially sound. You will be commercially astute and have a proven track record in sales, ideally in the Food and Beverage industry with retailers, manufacturers or suppliers. You will be comfortable working autonomously and spending much of the working week travelling, predominantly within the UK but extending internationally as appropriate. You will be office based when not travelling. Key Responsibilities 1. Delivery and generation of sales 2. Implement the Consumer, Sensory and Market Insight sales plan 3. Provide input to CSM sales plan 4. Adherence to Group policies Experience Proven track record in external sales Experience of the Food & Beverage Industry Wide existing contact network within the Food & Beverage Industry Previous experience working within a food manufacturer or retailer is desirable Capabilities A sales professional Exceptional communicator and external networker Excellent client facing skills including people management Awareness of broad Food & Beverage Industry trends and implications for clients, particularly the commercial drivers Is able to delegate and manage time effectively and an exceptional team player Qualifications Degree in Food Science or Nutrition related area is desirable Career Development The company are committed to supporting employees and make a focused effort to offer bespoke training to allow each individual to thrive within their environment and realise personal potential.
