Latham & Watkins' London office is seeking a talented Business Development Administrative Support professional to join the outstanding business development team. The Business Development Administrative Support is a key part of the London Business Development team in providing an efficient and essential service to the team. The role reports in to the Senior Manager - Business Development, London, and supports the BD practice team that comprises 6 members. The Business Development Administrative Support works in an open-plan, collaborative environment and utilises a variety of word processing, database and research skills to carry out the duties described below: Documents •Maintaining the bios of the London lawyers (this includes research on deals completed by the lawyers), and loading onto the firm central bio database. •Amending pitch/other BD materials using BD templates •Inserting and formatting photos and graphics as necessary. •Proofing amendments and pitch/BD materials. •Creating and amending ad hoc documentation in Excel, Word and Powerpoint. •Checking consistency of spelling and format; marking up documents. •Preparing regular internal reports with input from other Latham departments. •Creating referee spreadsheets and pro forma submission templates for legal directories. Research and databases •Ad hoc internet research. •Ad hoc Experience Database research. •Preparing spreadsheets of research results, including picking out relevant information •Creating new InterAction (the firm's CRM system) contacts. •Pulling InterAction reports, eg, Who Knows Whom. •Uploading documents and maintaining loss/win data within our pitch management system. Other support •Presentations. •Processing expenses. •Arranging urgent couriers. The ideal candidate should have a significant amount of experience in legal support/document production role, preferably within a law firm.
