They own their own brands which they design and build, and sell over 10,000 bicycle products world wide. This company is the second biggest bike assembler in the UK. All their bikes are designed by them, developed with their team riders, then manufactured by carefully selected factories and assembled right here in Sheffield. They are proud of their bikes and they take a great deal of care over every step in the process. They are incredibly passionate about bikes and they love riding, all their staff ride - from bottom to top and side-to-side. They have got roadies, triathletes, mountain-bikers, tourers, fixie riders and cross-racers, you don't have to ride to work here but they just seem to attract people who do. They try to put all that passion, experience and dedication into everything they do here at the company. The Company is now looking for a procurement professional to join as an Operational Buyer. With direct responsibility for maintaining a consistent level of components into their bike building operation in line with customer demand. To succeed you will need: - The ability to identify and execute tactical buying and lowest cost purchasing routes, while maintaining quality of goods and services; - To be extremely numerate with experience in data analysis and operational procurement; - Strong organisational and communication skills, ability to work under pressure and prioritise work; - Experience with procurement from the Far East and China; - Experience of working in an FMCG industry; - Excellent Supplier Relationship Management skills; - Resilience, a sharp mind and a good sense of humour and want to work for a fast paced entrepreneurial business where you will be able to shine and be noticed.
