Health & Safety Advisor Construction - Liverpool- Competitive salary We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and qualified Construction Health & Safety Advisor to join our client’s growing team in South Liverpool. Our client is a health & safety management consultancy business supporting a wide range of industries across the UK; providing compliancy advice, health and safety training and hands on support. Due to their continued growth, a need has arisen for an additional experienced Construction Health & Safety Advisor to support their growing range of construction clients based in the North West region. The ideal candidate will have experience of: • Writing and reviewing H&S Policies and Procedures • Building and reviewing H&S Management Systems and Project Management Systems • Compiling, developing Pre-Qualification Questionnaire submissions on behalf of clients • Writing and developing pre construction information and construction phase plans • Undertaking and reviewing Construction Fire Risk Assessments and providing reports • Writing and reviewing design stage, activity and project specific risk assessments • Writing and reviewing activity and project specific method statements • Writing and reviewing COSHH assessments • Write and develop construction site inductions • Undertaking and reviewing company and individual contractor competence evaluations • Undertaking H&S Management Audits, providing reports thereon identifying significant findings and making recommendations for improvement • Compiling project information into project record files/ H&S files/ O&M Manuals • Attending and participating in client meetings and performing any action items assigned to them • Monitoring and managing client training needs and refresher training • Delivery of onsite training – Toolbox Talk, Updates to Key Staff, etc • Attendance at clients premises as required • Undertaking and reviewing Loss Event Investigations and providing reports • Reviewing health and safety documentation • Aid in the development of client health and safety targets including for measurables • Prepare and deliver where necessary board reports for client board or directors You will also need to have: • NEBOSH Diploma in Occupation Safety & Health • NEBOSH Construction Certificate or other construction qualification • Experience required in similar role • Ability to work independantly • Good I.T. knowledge in Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint • Able to work independently and have some team based skills • Good communication skills are essential • Able to self manage • Company Knowledge • Knowledge of task timings Have a presence to handle yourself well on site. Have the ability to communicate well with all levels of people from site workers to Managing Directors both verbally, physically and in written format through report writing.
