Java Developer, Bangor, North Wales We have an exciting opportunity for a Java Developer to join a growing team in a innovative and growing industry sector. We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Java developer who can support the team and take charge of their own development. As the Java Software Developer you will be responsible for: Deploy and maintain current servers. Maintain current code base including a high quantity of lines of code. Work closely with other teams to ensure that tools co-exist efficiently. Plan, create, maintain, and deliver server applications and services which will be used worldwide Use test-driven development in order to create well written, clean, and maintainable code. Develop server applications and services in multiple coding languages. Fix existing bugs.Update existing tests to maintain full code coverage. Maintain current deployed server. Support for technical customer queries across the globe Daily interactions with our other teams. BSc. / MSc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Telecommunications To be successful for this Java Developer, Bangor, North Wales, you will need: Strong knowledge of Java ( Object Oriented Programming OO), Strong knowledge of Data Structures and Algorithms, Good knowledge of Javascript, XML, JSON, HTML, CSS, Good knowledge of relational database (eg MySQL), Good knowledge of version control systems (eg GitHub, SVN), Good understanding of the Agile Software Development, Some knowledge of application servers (Apache Tomcat), Familiar with some Java IDEs (Intelij, NetBeans, Eclipse), Some knowledge of Test Driven Development TDD. Optional requirementsKnowledge of Groovy, Grails, NodeJS or other frame works Familiarity with common web frameworks (Bootstrap, jQuery, etc.) Experience with modern tools and processes, e.g. Jenkins, Maven Notions in security and cryptography Notions in low-level chip programming and electronic engineering Proficiency developing in Windows, Linux, and OS X environments.
