REFERENCE: TMMC0012 LOCATION: Staines-upon-Thames JOB TITLE: Deputy Network Manager SALARY & BENEFITS: £27,066-£32,175, dependent on experience WORKING HOURS: 36 hours per week, 52 weeks per annum THE COMPANY: Our client is an 11-16 Academy which is part of an Education Trust based in Staines-upon-Thames. Since 2014, the Academy has been run by an experienced team dedicated to bringing about rapid transformation in the school. Our client is now seeking a Deputy Network Manager to join their staff. THE ROLE: Our client is seeking a Deputy Network Manager to join their team of staff at their Academy based in Staines-upon-Thames. You will be joining the ICT Support team, providing first line support to users, maintaining the school's client device provision, managing classroom IT infrastructure and assisting with hardware and software installations, upgrades and maintenance. Key Responsibilities to include: To ensure that the IT hardware and software is of the highest possible quality to maximise the learning opportunities of all students To lead the IT Support team within the Academy To provide technical support to the Academy community relating to the operation of the IT network and associated technology in order to maximise the learning opportunities of all students To obtain, use and develop the appropriate software to ensure maximum efficiency across the Academy To ensure the maintenance of the Academy hardware as required by the Academy To keep the website, portal, AV and screens up to date and develop aspects as required THE CANDIDATE: The ideal candidate for the Deputy Network Manager will have a high level of IT literacy, excellent communication skills and be conversant with Windows 7, Server 2012 R2, Mac OS X and typical productivity software packages, as well as having the desire to enhance the learning experience of students through the implementation of great IT facilities. You will be highly motivated, be able to work in a close knit team, thrive under pressure and relish a challenge. Excellent communication skills will be vital for liaising with teachers and pupils who need workable solutions which assist them on a daily basis. Key experience essential for the role: 5 GCSE's including Mathematics and English at grade C or above or equivalent qualifications A level/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject Experience of managing &/or supporting Windows XP/Windows 7 user devices Experience of managing & supporting Office Experience of supporting and managing Windows Server Experience of managing & supporting users and devices via Microsoft Active Directory Experience in managing and supporting hardware devices such as printers, laptops and PC's Experience in managing and supporting Local Area Networks and Wireless LANs Have high level of effective communication and skills of empathy Experience of supporting clients on outsourcing projects Key experience desirable for the role: Degree in an ICT relevant subject Experience of installing and supporting Experience of Mac OSX and iOS devices Experience of supporting Interactive White Boards and Projectors Relevant Microsoft/Cisco netowrking experience/qualifications Are you the Deputy Network Manager that we are looking for?
