Job Title Vice President – Head of Transformational Analytics Salary Competitive Location London About UKRBB Business Transformation The main role of the Business Transformation Team is shaping and delivering the medium-term transformation agenda for Community Banking (Branch and SkyBranch) and its colleagues. We help Community Banking to plan and implement major change to our physical environments, operating models and colleague capability. We work closely with Branch and SkyBranch leadership and Performance and Operations, and with central teams across PCB including Change, and Technology and Operations. Overall purpose of role This is a new high profile leadership role in the Community Banking Business Transformation Team whose purpose is to inject advanced analytics and big data capabilities into decision making on transformational initiatives, continuous improvement efforts and day to day operation of the Barclays UK distribution network, including Branch Network, SkyBranch an remote self-service technology. Key elements are to: § Continue to build a team of highly skilled individuals capable of translating business problems into required analysis, both using advanced analytics tools (such as ClickFox and Advanced Predictive Technologies) directly and collaborating with other data and analytical resources in BUK to implement the analysis, and translate the analysis into business recommendations. § Use robust analytics informed by business acumen, to turbo-charge transformational operational improvement efforts in areas such as - Front-of-house and back office operating models - Cash, coin & cheque transaction handling - Optimisation of Omni-Channel customer journeys - Branch and remote ATM footprints § Serve as centre of excellence for agile test-and-learn optimisation across all areas of Community Banking. § Champion the embedding of advanced analytics into the day-to-day working of colleagues at all levels of the organisation to improve their efficiency and effectiveness and deliver better customer outcomes. Key Accountabilities/Duties and Job Responsibility Great Place to Be · Create, grow and evolve the analytics capability required to diagnose key drivers of business issues · Provide recommendations and options for changes to business as usual ways of working or key initiatives, based on analytical insights · Lead the development of mechanisms to make analysis available to the frontline colleagues and leadership both directly and indirectly via coaches and performance directors · Demonstrate impact of process improvement projects and analytics in terms of balanced scorecard objective impacts for Community Banking · Maintain an excellent working knowledge of products and services offered across Community Banking Sustainable Revenue Leading to Growth · Influence business partners to identify, test and implement new ideas, analytical insight and processes driving improvement to the customer experience and efficiency. · Identify and deliver business analytics to Community Banking delivering both short term and performance objectives and longer term capability enhancement. · Build and evolve a capability to identify new drivers of performance through the application of big data techniques to help inform strategic decision. · Working in partnership with industry specialists, grow a Big Data analytics capability to generate new insight on the drivers of our business performance Transforming how we interact with our Customers · Proactively collaborate with colleagues to maximise impact of initiatives and develop strong working relationship with key stakeholders. · Have a strong understanding of the PB strategy and business plans, enabling the identification and leverage of synergies across the business Communications & Stakeholder Management · Support MD to influence key stakeholders to apply findings of analytics to either reinforce current direction or where appropriate to change the course of the current strategy · Identify and understand risks to key interests of senior stakeholders potentially impacted by the findings of the business analysis and seek to mitigate the risks · Develop Business Partnership relationships to ensure analytics capability of team continually evolves · Determine ways in which analytical insights can be made available to and communicated with the relevant interested parties in the Community Banking leadership Team Work · Provide a full and active leadership role within the Transformation team · Lead improvements to support employee engagement for own team and as part of the wider leadership team · Collaborate across leadership team to ensure collective goals of wider team/function are achieved · Create an environment where people can effectively perform, develop and grow and identify and build the levels and capacity of capability required for success. · Pursue own development to increase personal effectiveness and knowledge of new analytical techniques, building on strengths and focusing on areas for development · Apply skills and relevant business expertise to support the communities within which we live and operate Risk and Control Objective · Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards Person specification/Required skills Knowledge · Sound understanding of new data analytics techniques preferred · In depth understanding of products and services provided by Barclays and of financial services products in the wider Retail Banking industry Skills · Ability to build a network of strong and mutually beneficial relationships · Ability to lead a number of initiatives concurrently, including change initiatives which require experience of change management and project management principles · Well-developed influencing and negotiation skills to ensure effective outcomes when working with stakeholders across BUK · Excellent communicator and a good understanding of the link between beliefs, behaviours and exceptional performance Experience · Experience of business transformation and change programmes · Background in leading problem solving / analytics teams · Proven track record in working across multiple stakeholders groups across the business · Experience of leading delivery within a service environment and leading virtual and remote teams · Confident to present to exec level at Senior Community Banking Leadership or Council meetings · Previous experience of leadership roles How to Apply Please click the apply now button below.
