Product Engineer We are recruiting this position on an exclusive agreement. Our business partner are a leading supplier of valves and associated equipment into various industries. They have recently had a global buy out and are now looking at recruiting once again to strengthen their engineering team. Key Responsibilities; Responsible for generating continuous improvement and cost reduction of assigned product line. Responsible for engineering database (specifications, drawings, procedures) for assigned product line. Consults with and coordinates the engineering effort with customers, Marketing, Manufacturing and Quality Assurance/Quality Control. Investigate and resolve NCR's and complaints from internal departments, customers and vendors. Organises product technical training and seminars. Develops engineering procedures and specifications for bursting discs. Generates procedures for product testing, installation, maintenance, cleaning, packaging. Performs product testing to establish and validate product performance to specifications. Performs competitive analysis and maintains industry leadership of assigned product lines. Maintains a working knowledge of all Codes and Standards applicable to the assigned product lines. Reviews Code addenda and documents changes affecting products. Maintains product certification of assigned product ranges to national and international standards. May perform other special duties or projects as requested by Engineering Manager. Work with Lean Manager to continually review and implement improvement opportunities in accordance with the PIMS methodology. Key Requirements; Minimum BENG in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Experience of Autodesk Inventor of Equivalent CAD package. Working knowledge of mechanical engineering practices, standards/specs, computers. Experience of pressure systems / vessels and relevant Codes is required for this role. Eng software,planning,communication,presentation,facilitation,and analytical skills. Experience good materials knowledge is required for this role. Experience in a manufacturing/production environment. Ability to be creative and innovative, and to meet customer requirements in cost effective. Accountable for meeting commitments and deadlines. Able to quickly change priorities and handle multiple projects simultaneously. Strong problem solving and analytical thinking skills. Must possess a proactive, methodical and logical approach in problem solving. Meeting agreed targets of the scope and schedule for product engineering. Value Analysis and cost reduction.
