Category Specialist - HVAC - FTSE 100 Location: West London Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 Job Type: Permanent An FMCG powerhouse is looking for two people to join their HVAC procurement team as they have had a restructure of the department to allow for growth within the team. The reason for the restructure was to create an industry leading procurement team that the rest of their global function could look to for guidance and to instil a company-wide culture of best practice and innovation. The Role: A large part of this role will be buying HVAC equipment including Boilers, Insulation and spare parts. You will be involved quite heavily in the supplier relationship management side of the procurement process, including vetting them quite heavily, so a keen eye for detail is perfect. You will report directly into the Category Manager and run the end-to-end procurement function alongside them, in which you will use your market expertise in order to ensure best value for money. Contract Management will be a large part of the role including the drafting and assessment of contracts, there will also be a heavy involvement in Supplier Relationship Manager, this is something the employer values very highly. Key Skills and Requirements of the HVAC Category Specialist: Excellent relationship management skills, including supplier management, negotiation and influencing stakeholders Previous experience in sourcing HVAC equipment e.g. boilers and insulation is preferred, but those from a construction and spare parts background will also be considered String understanding of general and contract law and all the stages involved in the tendr process Analytical skills are key as you will be expected to be very commercially astute, and have an awareness of the market and be willing to research it Degree at 2:1 or above (or equivalent) and CIPS qualification If you are looking for a career rather than just a job then this role is well suited to you, as they are looking for people to grow with the company and help to mould the procurement function.
