We are an independent, family owned business looking for an experienced, motivated and charismatic Restaurant Manager to join our ever growing team. We are in the process of extending our successful 30 cover coffee shop into a brand new first floor restaurant above our thriving farm shop which will have the potential for 80-100 covers, offering breakfast and lunch 7 days per week as well as evening meals Thursday to Saturday. The dishes served in the restaurant will use ingredients from the on site butchery, vegetable and deli sections with a strong emphasis on local and fresh fare. The launch will be mid November and the successful candidate will have the pleasure of assisting in the recruitment of new staff, have an input into both food and beverage menus, as well a large input into the launch itself. A minimum of 5 years experience in the hospitality industry, as well as exposure to management roles, is required. Some of the attributes required are as follows; Comfortable dealing with all personality types and handling all customer queries and complaints Ability to deal with staff management and disciplinary procedures as well as training and development Strong numerical, organisational and point of sale skills Strong liquid sales experience Proven ability to control stock ordering and manage inventory High level of knowledge of cuisine and beverages Strong understanding of kitchen procedures and comfortable with liaising with Head Chef and kitchen team Strong delivery of service This job was originally posted as
