Electrical / Instrument Designer Salary: £38k - £46k plus 10% Bonus, 10% pension, Healthcare Location: Cheshire, Runcorn, Ellesmere Port, Deeside, Wrexham, Mold, Wirral Our client is a leading manufacturer. As part of an on-going programme to improve Electrical / Instrument design support to multi-discipline engineering projects, they are seeking an I&E Design Draughtsperson to work within the Design Office. You will provide Electrical / Instrument design support to multi-discipline engineering projects Key Responsibilities: Design small projects and plant modifications including producing the following drawings on AutoCAD - engineering flow diagrams, logic diagrams, electrical schematics, instrument process hook up drawings, including cable and junction box schedules for the above Provide scopes of work for projects and plant modifications Site survey existing plan Liaise with and support site engineering and maintenance teams Work accurately and effectively meeting given deadlines Check other designers work Maintain site records and drawings Work safely to safeguard themselves and colleagues in the workplaces Key Experience, Skills and Qualifications Required: Minimum of HNC or equivalent qualification in Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering Appreciation of large scale plant processes Design of process instrumentation loops ranging from pneumatic to DCS Design of relay and PLC based control and shutdown logic systems Design of electrical systems ranging from 24VDC up to 11KV Design of MCC switchgear Analytical and problem solving skills Strong computer skills including Autocad, MS office Self-motivated and natural a communicator Able to work in a team The company prides itself on creating an inspiring environment for employees, generating an ethos of entrepreneurial spirit and rewarding opportunities.
