GROUP MERCHANDISING AND MARKETING EXECUTIVE Salary: £20,000 - 27,000 The Role This is a new position - operating in a primarily B2B reseller environment, however this role will involve the development product, marketing, media and content solutions targeted at growing sales both onto reseller partners and to end user clients on both a B2B and B2C basis. We are looking for someone with proven Product Marketing/Management and Merchandising knowledge (irrespective of channel or category) to help develop the tools, solutions and strategies to continue to grow market share and sales revenues. Key Responsibilities Provide product mechanising, evaluation and selection support to the team and across all group businesses. Drive the on-going development and maintenance of all on site content to provide the customer with data they need to make an informed buying choice - including but not limited to product merchandising, page layout, product copy, technical specification, images and multimedia content. Manage quality and accuracy of information held and provided to clients by way of product copy, images and video, ensuring continuous improvement within budget. Develop, update, and maintain an ongoing understanding of industry trends and competitor information. Manage, maintain and continually improve the quality and accuracy product copy and attributes, images and video, ensuring continuous improvement within budget, and their effective delivery to clients. Producing engaging marketing material (leaflets, brochures, e-shots, emails, website content and reports). Ensure timely and smooth introduction of new products and ranges to the client base. Manage product obsolescence and replacement as well as NPD introductions in a timely manner. Designing marketing material for a range of company products. Assist in the development of an effective social media strategy and SEO programme. Produce the internal company monthly newsletter. Develop and deliver group marketing plan. Checking all artwork, merchandising and banner proofs in addition to designing and distributing e-shots. Any other duties as required by your line manager. Skills & Experience Experience of traditional catalogue page production process, proofing, photography. A high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent analytical skills and with intermediate/expert level in Microsoft Excel. Excellent commercial awareness - experienced in negotiation, procurement and contract terms negotiation. Strong digital Marketing knowledge and experience. Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive can-do outlook. Strong interpersonal skills, a first rate communicator (written and verbal) with the ability develop effective relationships quickly. Proven understanding of NPI, product life cycle management and efficient management of obsolescence. Skilled/experienced in the use of Adobe Creative Cloud (particularly InDesign) would be an advantage. Category specific knowledge would be advantageous but is not essential. You may not have worked within the office furniture industry but will have a passion for product and be keen to learn about our products, market, customers and competitors. Hours: This is a full time role 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday to be agreed. Occasional out of hours work may be required if there is a required need for travel to clients and suppliers within the UK and Europe.
