We are delighted to be recruiting for an exceptional Supply Chain Manager on behalf of our client, a global Consumer Products company and owner of many household branded names. As part of their continued success & growth they have requested Strive to source a Supply Chain Manager, to be responsible for and focus on connecting the operational function with the commercial function of the business. Summary: This role is to take ownership of, manage and provide structure to a team based in Manchester and London to drive productivity and continuous improvement in both customer service and logistics operations. The key objectives of the role are to deliver exceptional service to all customers, whilst developing the team to achieve and exceed certain business milestones. Key Accountabilities : Directing the activities of the Team , developing and prioritising team goals. Design and implementation of new processes, to streamline activity and drive the team to succeed in the most efficient environment for both Customer Service Delivery and Planning functions. Planning and Forecasting, to drive consistent 98% of product availability across all UK outlets and to minimise surplus inventory across the network. Training & Development, to maintain team effectiveness and awareness of products and procedures. Managing the team, to be responsible for appraisals, absence management, disciplinary action, salary reviews etc. Manage 3PL operations Connect the Operational functions with the Commercial aspects, developing new initiatives and playing a key role in distribution of new product launches and promotional activity. Creation of strong collaborative relationships, both internally and externally with suppliers and customers. Person Specification: The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of retail logistics operations, warehousing and distribution and have excellent customer service and people management skills.
