Qualified Lift Engineer / Technician – Portsmouth, Southampton and Fareham Up to £34,000 salary (experience dependent) car or car allowance (your decision) an excellent benefits package Our Client is a leading global professional services organisation looking to recruit a qualified Lift Engineer / Technician to service client contracts in Portsmouth or Southampton or Fareham areas. Ideally, you should possess 3yrs experience maintaining and repairing all types of Lifts, Escalators & related equipment and you should be living in one of the 3 Hampshire locations listed above. Our Client pays a basic salary up to £34,000 (dependent on experience) car or car allowance (your decision), a stable career & an excellent benefits package. The core responsibilities for the qualified Lift Engineer / Technician will include; To carry out high quality inspections ensuring various Lifts, Escalators, Travelators and associated equipment are compliant with current regulatory & statutory standards. Operate within agreed authorities, inspection & H&S standards with a clear customer focus & a drive to achieve optimal service delivery. Ensure surveys and inspections are carried out within set time scales and to planned schedule. Maintain individual responsibility for all allocated inspection and technical activities, whilst acting as a fully integrated member of the team. Produce comprehensive inspection reports within daily timescales and to service standards. Fully utilize all operational and technical systems available ensuring accurate data is inputted and reflected. Liaise regularly with Regional Planner to ensure work schedules are completed on a daily basis, promptly communicating any alteration in schedule to relevant party. Build and maintain excellent client relationships and ensure that all customer service standards are met. Maintain an awareness of developments in standards and legislation affecting the Engineer Surveyor’s engineering discipline, and support change as required. Provide training for other Engineer Surveyors as required. Ideally, as Lift Engineer , you should possess the following skills and attributes; Proven experience and sound technical knowledge of the relevant engineering discipline/s. Minimum NVQ3 qualification in a Mechanical Engineering discipline or equivalent & relevant H&S/LOLER/PUWER/LEEA certificates or knowledge desired. Hold a current UK driving License with no endorsements in the last 6 months. Working knowledge/experience of Lifts, Escalators, Travelators & associated equipment including inspection, maintenance and repair. Understanding of market/industry trends, developments and changes in legislation. Strong background in client service and delivery, demonstrate exceeding expectations. Accurate and timely reporting experience, database updating and Microsoft Office usage. Excellent verbal & written communication skills, good report-writing abilities, proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite.
