IT Service Delivery Manager - Preston, Lancashire. My clients growing client based near Preston is currently looking for a skilled Service Delivery Manager. The role will be to provide a high quality cost effective IT service delivery and management function through the implementation and ongoing management of quality IT services that meet the needs of the business. You will build and own the Service Catalogue and management of internal and 3rd party teams in delivery that is measured and continuously improved. Duties and responsibilities Develop and deliver the IT Service Delivery and Management processes. Develop, deliver and maintain the IT Service Catalogue. Liaise with key IT stakeholders to define and agree service strategies, including service level targets for the portfolio of services they own. Responsible for IT processes, policies and procedures based on ITIL or similar best practice; including creation, management and governance. Manage the end-to-end delivery of IT services, ensuring they are delivered to meet current and future Business needs. Work with other key IT stakeholders to set and manage realistic Business expectations of IT services. Manage IT and Business communication channels to ensure timely dissemination of IT service information in both directions. Ensure that IT service issues and concerns are reflected in the relevant discussions with Business stakeholders. Leadership of major incident recovery management. Accountable for the provision of the IT Service Desk. Financial management of Service Delivery aligned costs. Facilitate supplier service reviews, in conjunction with aligned IT Platform Teams, to safeguard delivery of IT services within agreed SLA's. We are looking for someone that: Knows and is qualified in ITIL Has managed a Service Desk (hands-on) Has implemented a Service Catalogue Maybe worked at a mid-size company and wants a more influential role with elements of Service Management, i.e. managing external suppliers Dynamic and excited by challenge 'Can do' mentality mixed with pragmatism Someone who lives and breathes service Has implemented a Service organisation elsewhere Can be left alone to implement Believes obsessively in 'delivery or timely escalation' Knows the value of Service Desk reports and MI Good stake-holder management skills Knows what excellence is and drives it via others Will immediately be seen as an IT leader Doesn't mind rolling their sleeves up and working Tickets if required IT Service Delivery Manager - Preston, Lancashire.
