Location: Cardiff. Salary: £25-30,000 per annum, negotiable dependent upon experience. Plus profit share scheme. Start Date: October / November 2016. Business Analyst / Systems Analysis / IT Analysis IT Projects / Web Projects / Software Development An exciting new opportunity has arisen with our dynamic customer for an experienced IT Business Analyst to join a successful and expanding team here in Cardiff. As part of a fast-paced IT department, you will be involved in all aspects of the software development lifecycle and management information requirements. This role would suit someone with a good understanding of Software Development that would like to move into Project Management / Business Analysis, or an experienced Business Analyst. You will be an integral part of the IT Department and you will be expected to analyse business requirements into technical specifications and be able to disseminate technical information into appropriately worded business communication (written and oral). You will be expected to manage some projects using Agile techniques (where appropriate), or even PRINCE2 if appropriate to the nature of the project. Due to the nature of the organisation, the ability to innovate is a must. The organisation is a very friendly, fast moving and hardworking organisation with a very unique feel. The primary areas of focus for the role are: Assist the business / stakeholders in identifying, validating and documenting objectives / needs. Ensure that views of all parties are captured correctly. Draw upon experience to be able to advise colleagues as required. Ability to carry out process and workflow mapping. Co-ordinate user acceptance testing. Assist in project planning, and create project plans when required. Assist project managers with appropriate duties. Assist with the production and analysis of management information. To prove successful within this fantastic new opportunity, we anticipate that the successful candidate will have the following skills, knowledge and experience: Either an appropriate Business Analysis qualification or experience (minimum 2 years). Experience / basic knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server administration. Good understanding of software development. Ability to relay technical information in a non-technical manner. Knowledge and understanding of project management techniques. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal). Attention to detail Degree in a Computing / technical discipline or similar experience beneficial. Ability to thrive in a deadline driven commercial environment. Hands-on experience of development would be desirable. Ability to report using SSRS or SAP products beneficial. Experience of business process improvement desirable.
