NGIE are recruiting for an M&E Engineering Supervisor to be based in Harrow Civic Centre, Harrow, London, HA1 2XY. This is a permanent full time role (working 40 hours per week) and on offer will be a salary of £33,000 to £35,000 per annum plus company vehicle. This role will report into the Contract Manager. To be successful in this role you must provide the following: Minimum of 3 year history of employment (including information which can be verified for any gaps) If you do not have 3 years previous employment, a professional reference must be provided (obtained from a Medical Practitioner, Officer of the Armed Forces, Teacher, Lecturer, Lawyer, Bank Manager, Civil Servant etc) Proof of identity & eligibility to work in the UK which must include : Photographic I.D - Passport or Driving License. Passport and all relevant work permits or NI Number information / proof and full Birth certificate If no legal photographic documentation is owned then a passport photo which has been signed and verified by any of the above professionals will be required. This needs to show their title, signature and contact details. 2 proofs of address from within the last 3 months (i.e. council tax bill, bank statement, utilities bills). Any required qualifications or driving licence if required for the role. The main duties and responsibilities are: A Multi Skilled supervisor will be required to lead a team of engineers to carry out planned preventative maintenance, reactive tasks across the London borough of Harrow. The main focus of the PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) work will primarily focus on Statutory maintenance across most of the portfolio with the exception of the Civic Centre which is a full PPM provision, the works are but not limited to the following types of works: Emergency lighting tests, A/C (split units), Tap temperatures, distribution board inspection, FCU maintenance, air handling units, Fire Alarms (not weekly tests), pumps etc and subcontractor management, moving of materials / deliveries as required. There will be a variety of reactive jobs which will stem out of the above but again not be limited to the above. Physical fault finding as required. Small scale minor M&E works management Participation in the account out of hours call out service on a rota basis To maintain effective communication with the customers at site level Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements at all times To carry out any other reasonable tasks that may be required to support the account and the business in general Be able to manage and prioritise the workload Ensure compliance with contract KPIs and SLAs with the support of the Engineering Supervisor. Qualifications: A recognised engineering qualification essential 17th Edition Wiring regs competent First Aid at Work preferable Experienced fault finding skills in mains – power distribution circuits, control boards, lighting circuit’s faults etc. Experience in a leisure/public venue environment. IPAF Certificated for 3a & 3b machines (Desirable) Experience operating complex lighting control and BMS systems Experience working on various mechanical systems (LTHW/CHWS/BCWS). Although not crucial a basic understanding of the L8 ACOP would also be beneficial. A robust understanding of Health and Safety is required. Knowledge of the Permit to Work system & experience issuing PTW would also be beneficial.
