Procurement Category Managers (x2) - Aggressively growing FTSE 250 - Milton Keynes OR Northampton - £45,000 - 55,000 Car Bonus Excellent Benefits This fast-growing FTSE 250 FMCG enterprise has begun a major transformation to raise their strategic sourcing capabilities and become a CoE (Centre of Excellence) for best-practice procurement. As part of this initiative the business are seeking two entrepreneurial procurement specialists to play big roles in their journey, taking on broader responsibilities beyond traditional buying including: Mapping out opportunities to collaborate with the Group's subsidiary brands, championing synergised category and supplier management strategies to leverage greater purchasing power Leading the Procurement function into new and innovative areas to raise their profile and reinforce best practice Group-wide Proactively selling the Procurement agenda by initiating relationships with new stakeholder groups to maximise functional impact Other core responsibilities of these Procurement Category Manager positions will include:- Autonomously owning £100m spend categories, designing and implementing tailored strategies to yield greater commercial benefits (cost savings, increased vendor performance, stakeholder satisfaction, risk mitigation etc) Skilfully managing the cradle-to-grave procurement and strategic sourcing process for complex £ Multi-Million projects across an array of high-profile spend streams, driving compliance and best-practice throughout the process Reporting directly into the Senior Procurement Manager, benefiting from a personally tailored development plan to ensure progression within the business (either inside procurement or into wider commercial functions) Developing supply strategies that deliver business requirements across assurance of supply, quality, regulatory, service, cost and innovation Required qualifications & experience:- Impressive procurement, strategic sourcing & category management experience within your early career to date, with a CV that demonstrates significant commercial achievements Quick progression from Buyer to Senior Buyer / Procurement Specialist / Category Manager, ideally within leading FTSE 250 companies Ambitious, enthusiastic and driven disposition Degree & MCIPS (or studying towards) preferred though not essential If you are a high-achieving and ambitious Procurement specialist looking to progress your career and make a huge difference within a developing Strategic Sourcing function, this presents a great opportunity.
