ABOUT THE JOB pladis currently has a vacancy for an IS Technical support role (12 month FTC) to be based in pladis UK Head Office in Hayes Middlesex. pladis is a global biscuit and confectionery company with operations in 120 countries across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia and the Americas. The role will include responsibility for support of Executive level customers. PCS Analyst has to be customer focussed while upholding PC/LAN policies, standards and procedures; this requires flexibility, diplomacy and tact delivering what the customer needs, which may not be what is being requested. The pladis PC/LAN environment within the business is very disciplined which is essential in order to provide a continually improving support service. While based in the head office, analyst must be able to work in all pladis factory environments and have a full understanding of pladis H&S policies and the departmental priorities. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES •To provide a customer focussed support service, with specific focus upon the needs of executive level customers, in accordance with the SLA and in accordance with documented processes. •To identify problems to be resolved that will eliminate the occurrence of further support incidents and to investigate and resolve these problems as directed. •To provide technical expertise capable of resolving problems effecting business critical IT services. •Respond and fix incidents within PC/LAN SLA, ensuring customers and IS ServiceDesk are kept informed as appropriate. •Review incidents to identify underlying causes, liaise with other IS support teams to ensure further incidents do not occur. •Provide advice to customers regarding hardware and software purchases, advising on correct procurement procedures. Ensuring that such advice regarding software is based on the policy of minimising the software portfolio on the company. •Maintain an accurate inventory of those assets within your responsibility, ensure that the inventory database is maintained whenever assets are installed, removed or re-assigned. •Provide basic customer training and advise to proactively and reactively address support issues. •Carry out tasks as directed by the PC Support Manager e.g.- data loading, administration tasks, capacity management tasks, inventory audit tasks •Willingness and flexibility to work out of hours when required at any of pladis's UK based locations, also to attend such sites during normal working hours if requested to do so. •To provide out of hours support and advice from home as and when required. ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS •Experience of supporting Exec level users. •Good knowledge of; PC Hardware (Lenovo and Dell laptop and desktop), •Microsoft Windows Operating Systems (Windows XP, Windows 7), •Mobile hardware\software technology (Android and iOS), Applications software (such as Microsoft Office), Networking Technologies (Ethernet, WiFi, Cisco switches, Ruckus APs) •English and Maths GCSE •Driving license Desirable experience •Managed Desktop Services (Novell Zenworks), IBM/DELL servers, •Microsoft Windows Server Operating Systems (Windows 2003 Server, Windows 2008 Server) •Turkish speaker •ITIL Foundation •MCP/MCSA COMPANY OVERVIEW Yildiz Holding, CEEMEA’s largest food company, has brought together its core biscuit, chocolate, and confectionery businesses Godiva Chocolatier, United Biscuits, Ulker and DeMet’s Candy Company, to form a new global company, “pladis”.
