An opportunity has now arisen for a Site Engineer to join the team of a global technology company, working onsite with a Client in the South West. This role is on a shift pattern including nights so only Candidates who are able to commit to this need apply. Candidates with a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Site/Field Engineer role working with high volume production lines would be preferred but Candidates with relevant electromechanical/electronics experience will also be considered. Ideally with an NVQ or City & Guilds qualification we are seeking Candidates who are able to diagnose equipment faults and repair them in a timely fashion to ensure minimum downtime in production. This role requires someone with a confident, logical and methodical approach to decision making. The ideal Candidate will provide troubleshooting analysis and resolution of problems of all of our Clients equipment, ensuring all actions are logged and reported both in written form and electronically. The ideal Candidate will have a solid background in electromechanical/electronics engineering and is able to demonstrate a knowledge of drives, systems control and PLC controlled equipment. Any experience of hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical would be advantageous. During each shift you will be expected to carry out inspections of all equipment to ensure that all equipment is safe and operational. As well as this you will be expected to update and maintain an inventory of all hardware, software and spare parts. Attendance at regular meetings with customers is also essential in ensuring an open line of communication is maintained at all times.
