We have a vacancy for a full time role 37.5 hours per week and will include some weekends The successful candidate will have had previous experience in a similar role, have a practical approach, good organisational skills, self-motivation, deliver great customer service and have a real passion to work alongside small suppliers and producers to deliver a variety of seasonal and local foods Competitive rate of pay, company discounts, excellent training and a great environment to work Key Responsibilities & job description This section details the main responsibilities for this position. However, this is not a definitive list and a flexible approach to work duties is expected from all members of our team. You are responsible for; 1. Food Preparation § Assist as directed with all aspects of food preparation and presentation § Ensure that food is well presented and garnished on the service counters § Assist with Food Displays § Keep adequate supplies of crockery, cutlery and platters § Ensure food products are stored in accordance with legislation 2. Customer Service § Provide an efficient and friendly service to customers, dealing with customer requests promptly § Advise the customers on the content ingredients of the food offered § Ensure food is date rotated to minimize levels of wastage 3. Cleaning § Ensure areas are cleared of crockery and food waste § Ensure dirty cutlery and crockery are neatly stored in the wash up area § Ensure safe and correct usage of the dishwasher paying attention to COSSH regulations § Ensure high standards of personal hygiene and appearance 4. Administration § Taking Orders on the correct paperwork and in accordance with company guidelines § Assist with stocktaking as required 5. Health & Safety § Ensure that safe working practices are adhered to within your department including the usage of materials carrying a COSSH regulation § Ensure that food temperatures are logged in accordance with statutory regulations § Ensure that accidents to you, colleagues and customers are reported correctly § Be aware of the health and safety practices concerning fire safety within the kitchen area and department § Be aware of store evacuation store procedures § Ensure that you wear the appropriate clothing at all times 6.
